Have you ever wondered, ‘what’s an index fund?’ The answer is probably not, because until now that would have been a sincerely boring way to spend your time. But now the party is over, college has come and gone, and it is time to get it together. Seriously dude, get it together. It’s time to find out what an index fund is, and what makes it better than a mutual fund. Side note, it’s also time to find out what a mutual fund is. And that is where the Starving Graduate comes in.
The Starving Graduate is a resource for young adults (note to potential advertisers: young adults = millennials) to learn about budgeting, taxes, stock market investing, real estate, retirement planning, insurance, blah, blah, blah. You know, the really boring stuff otherwise known as money.
These subjects are undoubtedly boring and often intimidating, but they are also very important and will have an impact on your life every day until, well forever. Hopefully, we’ve made the subject of personal finance more approachable and easier to understand. Not sure we can do anything about how boring it is though.
Why should you trust the Starving Graduate? The answer is you probably shouldn’t because you were raised not to trust strangers. But on the other hand you really do need to know about this stuff. And hopefully what you read here will inspire you to learn more about money and the impact it has on your life.
